This is interesting, heres the note sent to me by Mike. It explains Tauruses in Sweden:

Hi,

Just signed up for membership. Bought my Ford yesterday (!) it´s a -88 GL, 3.0 waggon...

When I scanned all the "cars-for-sale" web sites i Sweden I found only five (5) used Taurus. There is no regular import to Sweden of the Taurus model, we only have the europeen models...No fun. They are too small & weak.

Cool to find I club for Taurus, hope It´s OK for a Swede to join.

This if my first Ford, my other car is a Volvo (of course..for a Swede) but since Ford bougt Volvo a got the idea to buy i Ford. Only US Ford, no european model. Ford i europe is not known for i quality, I think the ones built in England are the worst. Engines that wear out on these small cars like 6.000-7.000 miles !!

I´´ll get you a better picture, but this one at least shows a Taurus with Swedish license plates.
